The MiG-31K fighters will take part in the Victory Parade in Moscow with the latest missile system "Dagger". This was stated by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, reports RIA Novosti.
"In the aviation component of the holiday, in addition to modern Su-57, Su-Z0SM and MiG-29SMT aircrafts, the upgraded MiG-31K will be equipped with the latest hypersonic missile systems" Dagger ", said Shoigu.
On the parade, he said, other samples of weapons and military equipment will also be presented:
Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile systems, Terminator combat vehicles, Uran-6 and Uran-9 robotic complexes, modern drones, ATVs and snowmobiles.
On the aviation complex "Dagger" equipped with hypersonic missiles, President Vladimir Putin described in a message to the Federal Assembly on March 1.
According to Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov, "Dagger" is designed on the basis of the MiG-31, "which rises into the air, accelerates at high altitudes to certain speeds, and the rocket begins to further its autonomous movement".
