Bucha is a city in Kyiv Oblast north-west of Kyiv and centre of Bucha Raion, with about 37,000 people. Occupied in March 2022, after its liberation hundreds of murdered civilians were found in the streets and mass graves. The Bucha massacre became a symbol of Russian war crimes.
