Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner explained why he decided to skip the Davis Cup this year.
" My team and I made this decision because the season at the end of the year is very long and I need an extra week of rest in order to resume training early.
The goal is to arrive in Australia in good shape. In the last two years, due to lack of time, I have not been in optimal condition, so we made this decision. Let's see how everything turns out,"
Earlier, the team lineups for the Davis Cup playoffs became known - Sinner was not included in the Italian national team squad.
The Davis Cup will be held from November 18 to 23 in Bologna, Italy..
Let us remind you that earlier Sinner won the tournament in Beijing and reached a historical mark.
