The Ukrainian U-21 team failed to qualify for the 2027 European Youth Championship. Head coach of the Blues and Yellows Dmitro Mikhailenko shared his thoughts on the results of the national team in the qualifying tournament, reviewing the remaining matches in detail.
Commenting on the major games against Turkey and Croatia, the coach noted that the team demonstrated a great passion for football and acted in accordance with coaching guidelines:.
" We played this year's matches against Turkey and against Croatia. These are even stronger than the massacre of the superniki. Croatia has a lot of individually strong gravitational stressors, which can prevent moments of self-push. The team is desperate, as it has never lost to the selection before. Turechina is a stronger team, against which we had to play a lot of one-on-one games, and it wasn’t easy.”.
