Newcastle winger Anthony Elanga will not be able to help his team in the upcoming matches. The press service of the club informs about this.

“Having talked to him carefully, the MRI scan now shows. After which we have more information and are confident that the injury is not serious. Skoda has miraculously started the season. Anthony is one of the key players in our team, so we want to maintain a positive attitude,” said Magpies head coach Matthias Jaissle.

According to PHI information, a 24-year-old Swede has recovered from a damaged hamstring tendon, through which he can skip about 6-8 days.

Thus, Elanga will not miss the next matches of Newcastle, and will not represent the Swedish team in the League of Nations matches at the end of spring - at the beginning of summer.

This season Elang played five matches, scoring two goals. After four rounds, Newcastle has gained five points and is in 12th place in the Premier League. In the upcoming round, the “magpies” will play against Gallus Siti – the game will take place tomorrow, 19th spring.
