Barcelona did not ask Julian Alvarez to publicly declare that he would be stripped of Atletico. According to the words of the sports director of the Catalan club Deco, the footballer’s decision was his powerful initiative.
“We didn’t press Julian Alvarez so that he could publicly celebrate his birthday. Tse bulo yogo vlasne rіshennya,” Deco said.
The official also confirmed that Barcelona has expanded its official position regarding the transfer of the Argentinean. At the same time, Madrid did not want to sell their leader, and the Catalans’ proposal, according to Deco’s words, was not accepted.
" They created an official and correct position, but did not withdraw the evidence from Atletico. They always showed us that we don’t want to sell it, and we can’t constantly rely on the same food,” added the Barcelona sporting director.
