Ex-Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum may continue his career in the American MLS. Real Salt Lake is showing interest in the 35-year-old Dutchman.

According to The Athletic, the parties have already begun negotiations regarding a possible transition. At the same time there is no residual homelessness.

Wijnaldum has the status of a free agent after completing his contract with Al-Ittifaq on June 1, 2026. He played for the Saudi club in the summer of 2023, having transferred from PSG for 8 million euros.

At the Al-Ittifaq warehouse, the Dutchman played 101 matches in all tournaments, scoring 38 goals and providing 17 assists.

By extending his career, Wijnaldum also stole the colors of Fenoord, PSV, Newcastle, Liverpool, Rome and PSG. The forward played 96 matches and scored 28 goals for the Netherlands national team.
