UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin held talks with Association of European Football Clubs member Nasser Al-Khelaifa and Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe regarding the situation with FIFA. One of the main topics of the news was the possible impeachment of Gianni Infantino from the post of president of the organization.
According to talkSPORT, Rozmova woke up during the UEFA Super Cup. In the meeting, Ceferin spoke on the need to change the approach to the management of FIFA and without starting the fight for changing the organization’s structure.
In addition to UEFA's dissatisfaction, the Infantino Generosity Initiative calls for the FIFA Forward Enterprise. It was reported that through the new structure, private investors could take away part of the rights to the World Championship.
Ceferin, as he firmly believes, wants to prevent Infantino from calling out the new presidential term. For anyone to call an emergency meeting for the sake of FIFA, however, to conduct a valid vote, the support of at least 43 members of the organization is required.
Negotiations regarding the participation of Al-Khelaifi and Motsepe were not at all constructive. The African functionary also managed to discuss the situation regarding the FIFA policy.
UEFA is already considering potential candidates who could compete to become FIFA President. Among the possible options are CONCACAF President Victor Montagliana and the head of the Asian Football Confederation Sheikh Salman bin Abraham Al-Khalifa. At the moment, the European organization has not yet supported the officially expected candidate.
In addition, UEFA considers the possibility of reforming the very seat of the FIFA President.
One of the options would be to redistribute the division between a number of important plantations and rotate power so that key decisions do not lie in the hands of one person.
Infantino does not plan to deprive the Posada. Tensions increased further following criticism of plans for the FIFA Forward Enterprise, which FIFA has decided.
Previously, the Norwegian Football Federation openly called for Infantino's participation in the exhibition. At the same time, African and Argentine football structures stepped up to support.
