During the war in Ukraine, 25-year-old Lithuanian volunteer Ignas Cailius died heroically. In the past, he was a footballer and played for the reserve team of the Lithuanian club Suduva (Suduva B).
As it turns out, Ignas, having reached the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in his cruel fate, served as a deputy grenade launcher. From the beginning of the war, the warriors venerated the unknown.
Then the Russian occupation forces carried out massive shelling in the area, leaving Lithuanian volunteers in the vicinity of the battlefield, after which the connections with them were completely severed.
The Suduva Football Club remembered its great hero, recognizing his heroism:.
