Bayer Leverkusen is approaching the signing of the young star of the French Lyon.

As journalist Nikolo Skira reports, active negotiations are underway between Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon representatives regarding the transfer of Portuguese striker Afonso Moreiri.

It appears that the Germans have already awarded the 21-year universal forward a five-year contract, with insurance until the end of 2031.

Moreira is one of Lyon's key young players and has played 37 matches across all tournaments in the 2025/26 season, scoring 8 goals and providing 11 assists. According to Transfermarkt, its transfer value is estimated at approximately 20 million euros.
