Poltava Vorskla was not allowed to participate in the PFL First League for the 2026/27 season. The press service informed the club about this in official social media.
The application indicates that during the certification procedure the club rejected the requirement due to the lack of financial criteria in accordance with the UAF Regulations for the certification of football clubs.

“Unfortunately, due to the significant obligation of the borgov’s claims, which began to emerge and accumulated starting from 2021, our club was not able to confirm the financial criteria and withdraw the certificate for participation in football business,” goes to.
The club also said that they are currently considering options for financial recovery, restructuring of banks, optimization of processes and the search for potential investors and sponsors. Vorskla is wondering if it will be possible to revoke the certificate and return to the PFL for the 2027/28 season.
“We believe better and in those that recognize the Vorskla brand itself, the flagship of the Poltava region, I don’t know about the football map of Ukraine,” the club added.
Vorskla Bula was founded in 1955.
After the declaration of independence of Ukraine, the club played in the Pershaya Liza, and in the elite division first in the 1995/96 season..
The Poltava team competed in the UPL until the 2024/25 season, when for the first time in history it lost its place in the elite, sacrificing Kudrivtsi in the transition matches.
Among the club’s greatest achievements are two bronze sets of medals in the Ukrainian Championship (1996/97, 2017/18) and victory in the Ukrainian Cup 2009.
