UEFA imposed sanctions on Shakhtar for the final match of the Conference League against Cristal Palace, which was held on the 30th quarter of the year in Krakow. The official website of the organization informs about this.
Donetsk club was fined 34 thousand euros due to sick behavior. The main part of the fine - 30 thousand euros - is related to faulty fireworks, as well as racist and discriminatory behavior in the stands. Shakhtar may pay another 4 thousand euros for additional costs of fire-technical services.
In addition to the financial punishment, UEFA praised the decision to partially close the stadium before the start of the home match of the European Cup. We are talking about small sectors that may become less than 10% of the arena's capacity. Suddenly the punishment was deprived of the mental and experimental term for two years.
Previously, UEFA had already fined Shakhtar this season for violating the medical protocol in the match against Ajax.
