Real Madrid has published an official statement regarding the incident between the team's leaders - Aurelien Chuamen and Federico Valverde.
The club confirmed that it has undergone disciplinary proceedings and is working on an internal procedure for reviewing the situation. The results of the survey are expected to be announced after completion.
“In connection with the current situation, the club has decided to take disciplinary action with our leaders Fede Valverde and Aurelena Tchuameni. The club will announce the results of both inquiries at the appropriate hour after the completion of certain internal procedures,” the statement reads..
According to information from the Spanish media, the incident began on May 7th among the team and increased the tension that had previously arisen between the players. Towards the end of the day, Valverde suffered a head injury after hitting a table.
The club’s medical service informed that the gravel was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. The football player stays at home in a stable condition and misses 10–14 days, subject to the doctor’s recommendations.
