Genoa won an important victory over Pisa with a 2:1 score in the match of the 33rd round of Serie A, having earned a great deal of time before saving a registration in the elite of Italian football.
The match at the Arena Garibaldi stadium began in the distance for the rulers. On the 19th line, Simone Canestrelli opened the crooked corner after a standard position, speeding up the serve from Samuele Angori.
In this case, Genoa quickly confirmed. Already on the 41st stage, Jeff Ekhator leveled the goal with a hard blow from between the penalty area after the assist from Tommaso Baldanzi.
After the break, the visiting team continued to squeeze and denied the chance to go ahead - the referee awarded a penalty after playing with his hand at the penalty area. Virok successfully realized Lorenzo Colombo, breaking through at the top corner.
Pisa tried to overcome some difficult moments, but Genoa's defense and goalkeeper acted reliably until the final whistle.
