Romi's head coach Gian Piero Gasperini explained the orienting terms of the return of Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbik after a serious injury.
“Obviously, once we understand the extent of the presence of Dovbik and Ferguson, we describe it in a complex situation. Dovbik has been working for many months every day and actually completed the operation. And if everything is going well, we can turn around from the side of the plant to the cob of grass. Therefore, we cannot continue to respect him every day. Those same ones complain about Ferguson; It’s now obvious that I’ll end the season here and undergo ankle surgery; We no longer have time for renewal, towards the end of the season,” Gasperina said.
The Ukrainian forward was close to leaving Romi in Sichny, but a knee injury kept him out of the club. Narasi Dovbik continues to recover after surgery. After being excluded from the European League bid, de Roma had already reached the 1/8 finals.
This season Dovbik played 17 matches in all tournaments, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
Roma currently ranks 4th in the Serie A standings with 51 points. The team will play its upcoming match on January 8 against Genoa.
