Benfica announced UEFA's decision to impose a one-match suspension on winger Gianluca Prestianni pending an investigation into the incident ahead of the match against Real Madrid.
Currently, Benfica plans to appeal the decision, although in a different way it is unlikely that the player will be able to participate in the Champions League play-off match. We guess that the match will take place on February 25th.
The club also stated its clear position against any manifestations of racism and discrimination. At Benfica it was emphasized that these principles are an unknown part of the history and values of the club, reflected in the activity of the team, the work of the Benfica Foundation and the decline of legendary articles, zokrema.
Guess what, right before the first match, the battle broke out between the Portuguese club's winger Gianluca Prestianni and Verskovsky's star striker Vinicius Junior. .
After the match was completed, it was reported that Prestianni's words were not overtly racist..
