Football agent Gaston Fernandez, who represents the interests of Benfica Lisbon's senior manager Gianluca Prestianni, has reported allegations of racism at the address of his client from the side of Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior.
“Everything that was published before what Gianluca Prestianni said as part of the UEFA investigation is incorrect. No one officially spoke to us about possible sanctions in connection with this incident.
After the statement made by Benfica, we no longer want to continue discussing this with those. It was already clear to us that the situation with Gianluca was not as it was supposed to be..
From now on, all that is important to us is to ensure peace and serenity,” said Fernandez.
It seems that just before the Champions League playoff match between Benfica and Real Madrid, Madrid winger Vinicius told referee Francois Letexier that Gianluca Prestianni called him “Mavpa”, covering his mouth with a T-shirt.
