Liverpool's senior Florian Virts died after a draw in the match with Sunderland (1:1). Quoted from the German BBC.
“My goal was rewritten as an own goal? Today it doesn’t matter. We played a draw. We wanted to overcome everything that matters today.
The team gave me a warm welcome. This is a very good team, and I’m still here for the sake of it. We are on the right path until we turn around and do our best to turn around and win matches.
We wanted to overcome today, we want to be at the top of the tournament table. We just need to continue to practice diligently, and I am confident that everything will change,” said Virts.
This season, Flo Virts won 18 matches for Liverpool and provided 4 assists.
