Girona unexpectedly drew 1:1 with Real Madrid in Montilivo.
Michel's team opened up a rebound at the hour of the first half: Viktor Tsigankov, after a quick transition, organized a pass to Unakhi, who shot under the crossbar.
After the break, the Catalans had little chance of gaining the advantage - Vanat did not realize the approach to Courtois. Real Madrid won the final penalty against Mbappe in the 67th penalty awarded after Rincon's foul on Vinicius.
In the end, Madrid pressed, but Girona withstood the onslaught, and Mbappe, in compensation, was knocked out of a prominent position.
