Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick commented on the performance of his team in the main stage match of the Champions League against Chelsea (0:3).
“We started off very well and had a wonderful chance to score the first goal if Ferran Torres took a shot through the goal.
We knew that Chelsea is a really strong team, and in the minority they are not easy to overcome. We tried everything. We defended ourselves poorly as a whole, but as a result we made too many compromises. What can I say right now: we need to analyze everything. We can brighten up the situation while under pressure.
It's time to get out before the next round. This is our goal. If we can score nine points, more and more. We’ll wonder what will happen next, but we’ll also wonder at the next match, and the upcoming match will be against Eintracht. I am quite optimistic. I lost playing three games and gaining nine points,” the UEFA press service quotes Flick.
