The English team set a historical record in the group stage of qualifying for the World Cup 2026, reports OptaJoe.
“Three Levis” scored a maximum of 24 points from 24 possible, without conceding a single goal, which allowed the team to directly qualify for the World Cup. A similar result for the European qualification was recorded in 1954, when Yugoslavia won all its matches without conceding goals..
In addition, the England team recently set a record for the longest winning streak in history – 11 official matches so far.
We guess that since 1st September 2025 the team has been hated by the German favet Thomas Tuchel. Under his leadership, England suffered only one defeat - in a friendly match against Senegal.
