Milan is considering extending the contract with Luka Modric until 2027. The head coach of the team, Massimiliano Allegri, and the sports director, Igli Tare, regard the 40-year-old Croatian as a key leader of the club project.
Modric arrived at Milan last summer as a free agent, signing a contract until 30 June 2026.
This season, the player has played 12 matches in all tournaments, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
Allegre's team currently takes third place in Serie A, two points ahead of leaders Inter and Romi. Milan will have 23 leaves in the upcoming match - the Milan derby with Inter is on the team's watch.
