England team player Jude Bellingham commented on the victory over Switzerland (1:1, 5:3 on penalties) in the quarterfinals of the 2024 European Championship.
" We are already written by the lads. Those that can never be forgotten and improved are character and mentality, and they were demonstrated again in the penalty shootout. To come on as a substitute and take a penalty in the minds of such a pressure is something special.
I train like all other guys, and I have my own process. I rely on my training. “Sometimes you can try to get ahead and miss,” Bellingham was quoted as saying by the BBC..
In the semifinals, Southgate's team will play against the winner of the match between the Netherlands and Turkey.
