Words from the captain of the Austrians about the group with world champions.
Austrian national team player Marcel Sabitzer commented on the defeat to France in the first round match of the Euro.
" France was a little effective, a little distant, and required recognition. We gave all our strength and tried to overcome, but against such a team, unfortunately, we are lost in the program. It is necessary to crumble far away, on the other side – Poland.
France cheered us up, having gone deeper, we realized it less. We did not play at our maximum level. There were a few minor points in front of someone else's penalty, but Baumgartner scored before the game became 0:1, perhaps the game would have gone differently. Now we need to wake up, analyze everything, and go on the attack again,” said the captain of the Austrian national team.
