Wondering from which side you approach.
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin shared his thoughts on the topic of acquiring Saudi Arabian clubs. Indicate the words of the functionary of The Guardian.
\? I'm not fussing about it. I don't think you can buy football. Having gained experience, it has shown that fans follow specific tournaments and teams, and not the graveyards.
In Spain, 98% of patients did not know where Benzema went, but 100% knew that he was playing for Real Madrid. Mi bachimo, now the deeds of gravity are already turning.
I think there is a club in England that belongs to the Saudis, which is a good example of how to practice. Newcastle did not win the superstars, but they qualified for the Champions League. I was happy: I realized that they had to buy a lot of gravel before the new season, but that didn’t happen, and they played even better. Those like the Saudi Pro League are not the best option. A complete waste of pennies,” said Ceferin.
Earlier, the UEFA President stated his position regarding the participation of teams from the region in international competitions.
