Federico Cherubini said that Ronaldo left at not quite the right time for the club.

Some time ago, Manchester United announced the return of Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus reacted once again to the departure of the star Portuguese, stating that no footballer can put himself above the club.

" Manchester United behaved differently as a club with traditions. There could be no other outcome, considering how Ronaldo spoke to us.. We couldn't force the player to stay in a context that no longer suited them.

We respect Ronaldo, but I share the opinion of our president:

the history of Juventus is created by great champions, coaches and directors, but the club is most important.

A week before the game with Udinese (August 22 - approx. ) we were sure that Ronaldo would stay. I don't want to be hypocritical and say that it was nice to deal with this situation on August 28. Everyone would be happy to deal with this a month earlier..

The only risk was that a player like Moise Keene might not be available at the time.. Not all players wait until August 31 to find out if Ronaldo will stay or leave, "
