Algerian midfielder of Milan Ismael Bennasser caught coronavirus infection, club press service reports.
Milan made an official announcement that the midfielder will miss the friendly against Nice due to a positive test for COVID-19.
Bennacer reportedly carries the infectious disease asymptomatically and continues to exercise at home.
It is noted that the Algerian did not contact other Milan footballers for a week. The test results of the rest of Milan footballers showed a negative result.
Serie A new season starts with Milan against Sampdoria. The game is scheduled for August 23.
Earlier it was reported that Milan intends to offer a new contract to Simon Kier.
