Neuer named IFFHS 'Best Goalkeeper of the Decade

Goalkeeper Bavaria once again recognized as the best in the world.

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has published the results of the next summary calculations of the statistics of the performances of individual football players over the past decade. This time, the organizers celebrated the actions of the goalkeepers.

The scoring system was based on the principle of scoring from 20 to 1 point, depending on what place each of the goalkeepers occupied in the annual nomination " After the completion of the distribution of points, for each individual player the indicators were summed up and entered into the final table.

Ultimately, the five-time winner of the annual IFFHS World Goalkeeper Award (2013 - 2016, 2020) Manuel Neuer won this award, 35 points ahead of the legendary Gianluigi Buffon.



Together with Bayern Munich and the German national team, Neuer, the gate guard became the 2014 world champion, twice won the Champions League (2013, 2020), and also lifted over his head 8 German Bundesliga titles, 5 German Cup trophies and 2 UEFA Super Cups.
