One of the latest statements from Josep Bartomeu at the leading post of Catalan Barcelona was the news of the decision of the board of directors on the club's participation in the European Super League.
Such a resonant statement was immediately followed by a disapproving reaction from the highest football organization. According to the BBC, the FIFA statement to the outgoing Catalan official contains an unequivocal hint about the rejection by the world organization of such decisions by individual football clubs.
" As we said last week, the theme of the so-called " FIFA is reluctant to comment on this in the future, as there are already well-established institutional structures of football that are involved in the conduct of competitions, "
Recall that earlier the initiative to create this competition in the recent past was harshly criticized by the head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko.
