France Football decided to cancel the Golden Ball ceremony in 2020, Goal reports.
The editors of the magazine decided not to present the award this year due to the coronavirus pandemic and the inability to end the season in European football under normal conditions.
“This season is impossible and cannot be considered an ordinary football year.. When presenting the award, we do not want to indicate that it was presented in an emergency and in a crisis caused by the coronavirus, "
Recall that in 2019 the striker of Barcelona Lionel Messi became the owner of the Ballon d'Or for the sixth time.
