The winner of Copa America and the Confederations Cup in the Brazilian national team Frederico Chavez Gedes, or simply Fred, intends to return to Fluminense and end his professional career there, Globo reports.
By a court decision, Fred was exempted from contractual obligations to Cruzeiro, for which he was supposed to speak before the end of 2020, and President Fluminense Mario Bittencourt had already announced that the club would gladly accept its legend.
The 36-year-old former striker of the national team of Brazil (39 matches, 18 goals) played for Atletico Mineiro (146 matches in all tournaments, 75 goals, champion of the state of Minas Geyras), Cruzeiro (140, 78, two-time champion of the state of Minas Geyras, winner of the Brazil Cup.
