Manchester United executives prefer to acquire Aston Villa's midfielder Jack Grillish rather than midfielder Lester James Maddison, reports Manchester Evening News.
According to the source, the “Mankunians” are actively interested in both players, but intend to bet on the player with “Villan”, since it is cheaper and negotiations with Birmingham should be easier.
Earlier it was reported that Everton could compete with United in the fight for Grilish, but the “butterscotch” consider the midfielder as an alternative to the main goals.
This season, the 24-year-old player has played 31 matches in Villa’s shirt, scoring nine goals and eight assists.
