Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola broke the rules of the Football Association by commenting on the appointment of referee Anthony Taylor in the derby against Manchester United.

And while Guardiola supported Taylor, rejecting assumptions about the possible bias of a referee who grew up six miles from Old Trafford, coaches are forbidden to discuss judicial appointments.

At one time, Jose Mourinho was fined ? 50,000 for such comments about Taylor before the match United against Liverpool, but in this case Guardiola got off with a formal warning.

Manchester Derby ended in victory for the City 3: 1.
