In August, La Liga announced that it had entered into a deal with the American media company Relevent Sports, under which the matches of the Spanish championship will be held in North America.
According to Football Espana, the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation Luis Rubiales, the head of FIFA Gianni Infantino and the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez held a meeting in which all three opposed the idea of ??holding matches in the US.
FIFA position: holding matches abroad "puts business above football".
Earlier it was reported that the duel of the La Liga between Girona and Barcelona in January 2019 will play in Miami. Clubs have already agreed to this.
