The Sunday Times published information that the owner of Chelsea Roman Abramovich hired bankers to assess the value of the club and the sale of shares of the "blue".

Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003 for 140 million pounds. Since then, the "blue" have won five championships, five FA Cups, the Champions League and a number of less significant trophies.
