Midfielder Arsenal Henrik Mkhitaryan admitted that his teammate Matteo Genduzi pleasantly surprised him.

In a duel 3 rounds of Premier League vs West Ham (3-1), the 19-year-old French midfielder made his debut for Arsenal.

According to Henrik Mkhitaryan, Genduzi deserved to join the team.

"To be honest, I've never heard of Genduzi before. I've never seen his game ".

"He really impressed me on the first training session. We all said:

"Wow, this guy is very good, he can do a lot of good for our club".

"When the coach decided to put him in the main for the match with West Ham, I was in solidarity with him, because Matteo deserved this".

"We will try to help him with everything we can. We hope that in the next matches he will demonstrate much more ", - summed up Mkhitaryan.

Genduzi played against West Ham for 56 minutes, after which he was replaced by another summer newcomer of the "Gunners" Lucas Torreira.
