As a result, the national team was urgently led by Fernando Hierro, but the miracle did not happen - the Spaniards failed the tournament, flew at the stage of the 1/8 finals from the team of Russia.

As the official website of the Spanish Football Federation, Hierro left his post. Now the organization will be looking for a new mentor for the national team.
