PSG midfielder Marco Verrati has been operated on and will now pick up the form only by the beginning of the next campaign.

Marco Verratti will no longer play this season. The official website of the PSG reported that the midfielder had surgery.

"Marco Verrati has undergone an operation on the hamstring today in Paris. It was conducted by Dr. Rebull, "says the club statement.

"The operation was completely successful.

The date was chosen in such a way as to allow Verratti to approach the next season in optimal conditions ".

Thus, Verrati will not play for the Italian team in friendly matches against Saudi Arabia, France and the Netherlands in late May - early June.

PSG has already won the championship of France and the League Cup, and on May 8 without Verratti will try to add to these trophies also the victory in the Cup of France. In the final, Parisians will play with third-league Les Erbier.
