Left-back Gaetan Bong signed a new one-year deal with Brighton.

Brighton extended his contract with his left defender Gaetan Bong until 2019, the official website of the "gulls".

The Cameroonian moved to Brighton from Wigan in the summer of 2015 and since then has played 61 games in all tournaments in which he gave six assists.

This summer he could become a free agent, but the club of the English Premier League decided not to lose the player.

Also the 29-year-old defender is known for his performances for Metz, Tour, Valenciennes and Olympiacos.

In the current season Bong spent 18 matches for Brighton in all tournaments, in which he received one yellow card.
