Captain Shakhtar Dario Srna will not be able to enter the field in the Champions League matches 2017/18.
On the eve of Shakhtar announced the application for the playoff matches of the Champions League 2017/18, which turned out to be the captain of the "miners" Dario Srna.
Nevertheless, in a document published on the official site of UEFA, it is stated that the 35-year-old Croat was suspended from participation in the Champions League games until the end of the current season.
Recall that Srna decided to suspend his career after the doping test of Shakhtar's defender turned out to be positive. Earlier it became known that the Croats face from one to two years of disqualification.
In the 1/8 finals of the Champions League, the team of Paulo Fonseca will play against Roma. The first match will be held on February 21 in Kharkov, and the return meeting will be held on March 13 in Rome.
