Judge Tony Chapron will not take part in the matches for three months.
In mid-January during the French Championship match between PSG and Nantes, the referee Tony Chapron struck a canary player and then deleted him.
Later, the referee apologized to the player.
The official website of the French Football Federation reports that the Federation Disciplinary Committee found the 45-year-old arbitrator guilty, punishing him with a three-month suspension.
It is also reported that Chapron's behavior was called aggressive. This could have affected the period of the disqualification, which could have been nine months, but a more lenient decision was made.
