Midfielder Shakhtar Fred can move to Manchester City.

The leadership of Manchester City in the face of club president Khaldun Al-Mubarak, general manager Ferran Soriano and football director Chika Begiristain held a meeting at which they discussed options for strengthening the team.

According to The Telegraph, earlier this week the clubs have already started negotiations on the transfer of the Brazilian. Fred is estimated at 40 million pounds.

It is assumed that the City wants to get the player now, but will leave it in the Miner in the lease until the end of the season.

As part of the "townspeople" Fred will have to compete with Fernandinho. Another player, Man City, who previously played in the Ukrainian championship for the Donetsk Metallurgist, Yaya Toure, in summer, is likely to leave the club.

As for Fernandinho, the 32-year-old Brazilian this week extended the contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2020.
