Liverpool defender Joel Matip commented on the upcoming match in the Champions League.
"In the Champions League for mistakes punished severely. In the away match with Spartak we missed with a free kick, but besides that the rival did not really create anything. As I said, in the Champions League, punishment follows immediately. We need to realize our moments and not give chances to another team. Unfortunately, it was not always possible for us, and the opponent should be given credit, "- quotes Matipa official website of UEFA.
"In the first match Spartak to the limit made life difficult for us, but I still think that we could win in Moscow. That game ended in a draw, and the return match, I believe, will be open. In a home match with Sevilla, everyone saw that Spartacus can surprise anyone. So we will need to give the fight all the forces. In any case, we will be favorites, since we play at home. I'm looking forward to this match and I hope that we will score three points ".
"Spartacus has excellent players in all positions. Spartak squeezed out most of his moments in the first match with us. This suggests that they have no problems with the implementation, but we know perfectly well our trump cards, and we have nothing to fear ".
The match between Liverpool and Spartak will be held on Tuesday, December 5. The beginning of the meeting at 21:45 Kiev time.
