Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta refuted the statement of club president Josep Bartomeu that they managed to agree a new contract with the Spaniard.

President of Barcelona Josep Bartomeu said that the club reached an agreement in principle with Andres Iniesta on the extension of the contract, but the football player denied this information.

"It's not like that," Iniesta responded when asked to confirm Bartomeu's words.

The term of the current Iniesta contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the current season and earlier the 33-year-old midfielder hinted at leaving from the Catalan club.
