The head coach of Liverpool Jurgen Klopp praised his counterpart from Hoffenheim - Julian Nuggelsmann.

Nagelsmann became the youngest coach in the history of the Bundesliga, when in October 2015 he was appointed mentor of Hoffenheim. He managed for the first time in history to bring Hoffenheim to the Champions League and will now play in the qualification of the tournament with Liverpool, who trains Klopp.

"I'm very happy for my friend and agent, because I'm already an old horse in the stable, and now there's a young man in it," Klopp said at a press conference.

"This is an incredibly talented coach. We are not very familiar, but I followed him, because I like good football. We both expect the upcoming match and we know how good the opponent will be. It's great to have a chance to get into the Champions League, although it will be difficult. We are strong, Hoffenheim is strong ".

Klopp does not believe that more experience will benefit his team.

"I'm not interested in what an opponent's experience. Liverpool and I spent 20 months and my coaching staff always tried to give players a good analysis. We showed them fragments of the game of opponents and it spoke for itself. We have a very strong, aggressive opponent who does not shy away from tactical fouls. We know that this team knows how and that it will be very difficult for us to get into the Champions League ".

Match Hoffenheim - Liverpool will start today at 21:45 Kiev time.
