Team Turkey reported on parting with Fatih Terim, who served as head coach and director of the national team.

"Multiple non-football reasons that were trying to make public in the media, have been made with the intent to ease the management of Fatih Terim in the Turkish national team", - reads the statement of the organization.

"The parties came to the conclusion that parting in this case would be the best way out. We want to thank Fatih and wish him happiness and success in his future career ".

Terim served as head coach of the Turkish team three times: in 1993-1996, in 2005-2009, from 2013 until now.

Team Turkey after 6 rounds of selection at the World Cup 2018 takes the third place in Group I, ahead of the additional indicators of Ukraine and yielding 2 points to the Icelanders and Croats.
