Legend of Liverpool Steven Gerrard assessed the team's chances in the next season.
Earlier, Liverpool confirmed the transfer of forward Roma Mohamed Salah, but the current coach of the club's youth believes that the team still needs to grow stronger.
"Liverpool has an excellent head coach, so I think that the team is very, very close to the trophies. If you look at the statistics of the teams of the first six of last season, it is the Reds who are the best in terms of matches between each other, "Gerrard told the Daily Star.
"I hope we can get two or three pieces of the puzzle, two or three strong players. I'm really sure that Liverpool can continue to move forward, and success can be just around the corner, "he added..
Recall that in the last season Liverpool finished fourth in the Premier League and managed to qualify for the Champions League.
