Defender Manchester United Chris Smalling may go to Tottenham in the summer.
Manager Tottenham Mauricio Pochettino turned his attention to the bek Manchester United Chris Smalling after the transfer broke defender Hull City Harry Maguire, according to the Daily Mail.
Maguire chose Lester, because there can often play in the basis, and the salaries offered clubs the same. Tottenham have Toby Alderwayreld and Ian Vertonghen in the center of defense, but the coaching staff wants to strengthen this position, because the team has to fight for the championship and the game in the Champions League.
The probability of Smalling leaving Manchester United increased after the Red Devils signed Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
There is also the option that Chris will be used as part of the deal on Eric Dyer, in the acquisition of which United is interested.
Also, Tottenham is credited with interest in Middlesbrough's centribe Ben Gibson and his Burnley colleague Michael Keene.
