Madrid Atletico, from next season moving to the new stadium, on Sunday will hold the last fight in his old arena - Vicente Calderon. The guest of mattresses on this sad holiday will be Athletic.
The arena, which accommodates 54,907 spectators and has a category of four stars in the UEFA ranking table, was opened on October 2, 1967, served Atletico for almost half a century. In 1982, the stadium was reconstructed for the World Cup, and next year it is dismantled.
The new arena of Atletico - Vanda Metropolitano, where in the future will conduct their home matches, will accommodate 70 000 spectators.
