Alan Ruskel and Neto are in the last stages of recovery from heavy damage.

Defenders who survived a plane crash in which 71 people died, can soon receive permission from doctors to go to the football field.

"They are almost ready to resume playing quarries, but we still want to watch them, especially how the injured cervical vertebrae are restored," says club doctor Carlos Mendoza in an interview with Esporte UOL.

"Both Alan and Neto had spine injuries. Both players are almost ready, but we are still a little cautious, yet the damage was significant. I can say that Neto needs a little more time to recover than Alan.

Alan Ruskel, most likely, will not lose mobility and should not experience any difficulties after returning to the field. I think he will be able to rebuild his career.

A fracture in the fifth lumbar vertebra in Neto can cause pain or discomfort, but I do not think it will affect him too much.

Recall that after that catastrophe, only three players of Shapekoense remained alive: goalkeeper Jackson Fallman, who had to amputate his leg, and defenders Neto and Alan Ruskel.
